Camp Kids Unlimited is a summer camp for young people with physical disabilities including spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, amputations, and others. This year, we are expanding our reach, and offering two separate summer camps with slightly different focuses.
Physical Disabilities Summer Camp
The first Camp Kids Unlimited will take place on Tuesday, June 28 through Friday, July 1 at Camp Aranzazu in Rockport, Texas. This camp will offer typical summer camp activities including the ropes course, kayaking and canoeing, and adaptive sports. This camp is offered to campers ages 8-18 who are either independent or who might require some assistance with mobility, transfers, and self-care functions.
The second Camp Kids Unlimited will be Wednesday, July 27 through Saturday, July 30 and will take place at Sea Scout Base Galveston. At this camp, appropriate campers are ages 10-21 and independent with their personal care, transfers, and mobility. This camp will offer adaptive sailing and other water-based activities, as well as handcycling.
