TIRR Memorial Hermann sets the standard of excellence in the rehabilitation of persons with neurodegenerative diseases such as: multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, Guillain-Barré syndrome, chronic inflammatory demyelinating neuropathy, post-polio syndrome, arthritis, burn rehabilitation, west nile virus, multiple system atrophy and olivopontine cerebellar atrophy, polymyositis/dermatomyositis and other neuropathies and myopathies.

In addition, TIRR Memorial Hermann is one of the few organizations that have clinicians trained in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT-LOUD) an innovative and effective technique for improving voice volume by retraining patients on the level of effort needed to produce sound and LSVT-BIG, an intensive whole body amplitude-based training protocol for people with Parkinson’s Disease.
An interdisciplinary team of experts will be working closely with the patients and their families and caregivers to foster improved quality of life and maximize positive patient outcomes.
