TIRR Memorial Hermann Education Academy presents its 2019–2020 Advancing Clinical Practice (ACP) series. This continuing-education series is aimed to benefit advanced level practice for clinicians treating people with neurologic dysfunction. As part of a series, you may sign up for any combination of classes or attend all eight classes. Physical Therapists (PTs) may consider using them as a study series for the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) exam.
All courses are open to any healthcare professional who wishes to attend. Education credits vary per class, dependent on the topic, professional practice acts and guidance from the approved providers for Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA) Clinical Competency Units (CCUs), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Continuing Education Units (CEUs), American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) CEUs and/or Texas Nursing Associations (TNA) CEUs.
The series will cover the following topics on the listed dates and apply for education credits for the intended professionals: PTs, Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), Occupational Therapists (OT), Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA), Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) and Nursing professionals.
