CNO Introduction

Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital has served the Katy community for over 40 years. Katy is a rapidly-growing city 30 miles west of Houston where Harris, Waller, and Fort Bend County meet. This small rice farming town turned exciting community hosts one of the top school districts in the country, old town charm, and all of the necessary amenities of a large city. Memorial Hermann Katy’s nursing staff expresses that old town charm with a welcoming attitude, and compassionate, high quality care for each individual.

Memorial Hermann Katy has Pathway to Excellence® designation for excellence in nursing services. We have a steadfast commitment to our Magnet Journey as we are passionate about Advancing Health while Personalizing Care through our shared governance structure, evidence-based practice, promoting the advancement of education, and workforce collaboration.

Our nursing staff are the experts at humanizing every experience and personalizing care from the front line. Through ensuring high quality but compassionate care is met, our nurses are always respectful and caring while embodying every necessary safety protocol. Nurse’s voices are heard through our shared governance model, allowing our largest subset of staff decision-making authority at our campus.

Prior to becoming a CNO, I started my career here at Memorial Hermann as a new graduate nurse. I have been so grateful to spend my career with Memorial Hermann as I have learned so much and been given many opportunities in my professional and personal growth. As a nurse leader, I am so proud of the culture we have created here at Katy that supports nursing professional growth and nursing practice environment. At Memorial Hermann Katy, we are committed to making a difference and ensuring excellent outcomes for our patients.
