Welcome to the Health care Explorers program at Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital. We are excited to offer youth in our community the opportunity to explore the wide range of careers in health care while still attending high school.
Explorer programs like this one help to “provide positive and meaningful real-world career experiences and leadership development opportunities for all teenagers and young adults in their chosen field of interest.” The Health care Explorers program helps young adults make a more informed decision about future careers and whether a particular career could be the right one for them. Typically, participating Health care Explorers will get involved, learn about a career and decide to pursue it, or they will learn enough about the career to determine it’s not the right fit for them. It’s better to learn now as a young adult that a career is not right for you, before spending lots of time and money on an education in pursuit of the wrong career.
