General Information

The Center for Advanced Orthopedics at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center is a dedicated orthopedic facility designed to provide patients with exceptional clinical care in a comfortable, focused environment. Occupying three floors in our Memorial Hermann Tower, the Center is a destination facility offering high-quality, state-of-the-art, and comprehensive orthopedic care to residents of Southeast Texas and beyond.

The Memorial Hermann Center for Advanced Orthopedics is the surgical home for patients of the Memorial Hermann Joint Center and Memorial Hermann | Rockets Sports Medicine Institute – Memorial City. Affiliated physicians specialize in treatment of bone, joint and soft tissue issues of the knee, hip, foot and ankle, shoulder, elbow, and hand. Our goal is to restore patients’ mobility and get them back to enjoying their life quickly, using the most minimally invasive treatment options possible.

Expert Patient Care

Affiliated board-certified surgeons, orthopedic trained nurses and physical therapists, along with dedicated pre-admissions and registration staff, are focused solely on orthopedic surgical patients. Because of this, they understand patients’ concerns and can better anticipate their needs to provide an enhanced level of care. In addition, physicians affiliated with the Center are highly skilled and among the most experienced in their field. They take on some of the most difficult and complex cases with excellent outcomes.

Advanced Treatment

Minimally invasive techniques are helping patients get back to living their lives faster than ever before. These techniques offer smaller incisions, less trauma to surrounding tissue, less pain and bleeding, quicker recovery and shorter hospital stays. At the Center, we embrace the newest and most advanced approaches and are at the forefront of using minimally invasive techniques as well as robotics and computer assisted surgical navigation to improve patient outcomes and speed recovery. In addition, surgeons at the Center for Advanced Orthopedics participate in early investigational studies and train surgeons world-wide in the newest techniques.

Services

At the Center for Advanced Orthopedics, a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient orthopedic services are offered, including:

Patient Resources

The personal comfort and overall experience of the patients are of the utmost importance to us. All surgical needs, from registration, pre-admit testing and pre-surgery education classes through surgery and hospital stay, if needed, are all delivered in a facility focused solely on orthopedic patients. By bringing all surgical services into one location, it makes it easier for those with mobility issues and takes some of the stress out of treatment.

This focused care is extended to patient families as well. A special surgical concierge service ensures that families have a point of contact at all times on the day of surgery and are kept up-to-date on their loved one’s progress.
