Take A Journey with Kevin EverettOn Sept. 21, Kevin Everett arrived at TIRR Memorial Hermann completely paralyzed from the neck down. After months of aggressive therapy from a specialized spinal cord team at TIRR Memorial Hermann, Kevin is walking today.Everett's journey back up on to his own two feet will be available Feb. 1 to everyone in a book titled "Standing Tall" written by Philadelphia Inquirer sports columnist Sam Carchidi.

Everett's entire life is chronicled in the 224-page biography by Triumph Books, but approximately three-quarters of the book deals with his horrific injury that gained widespread attention and his subsequent recovery. TIRR Memorial Hermann is honored to be a part of Kevin's remarkable journey. His story is an inspiration to the estimated 11,000 patients who suffer from spinal cord injuries each year. He has and will continue to serve as an inspiration to the many patients at TIRR Memorial Hermann.

Beginning Jan. 31, Kevin will embark on a national media tour to share his inspiring story of hope, love and recovery.
