As the Northeast CFO, Walton is responsible for all financial operations at the Northeast campus including the Fiscal Services and Business Office departments. Before coming to the Northeast campus, Walton was chief financial officer for Arrowhead Hospital of Phoenix, AZ, of the Vanguard Health Systems, Nashville, TN. Prior to working with the Arrowhead Hospital, he was regional controller of Vanguard's Phoenix division.
Walton, a certified public accountant, earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, economics and finance as well a bachelor's degree of accountancy, both from New Mexico State University.
He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Walton and his wife, Sarah, are the parents of Taylor, 12, and Devon, 6.
