Dear Colleagues:

We invite you to the 2017 International Symposium on Wearable and Rehabilitation Robotics (WeRob2017) when it will be held for the first time in the USA. The year, the symposium will expand its scope beyond wearable robots to include topics in rehabilitation robotics. As in the previous meetings, researchers and innovators from all around the world will discuss novel approaches, challenges and potential solutions in technologies for robots used in rehabilitation. This year, however, there will be an increased emphasis on the clinical applications and the complexities involved in bringing robot-assisted rehabilitation to the community.

The 2017 symposium will encompass topics ranging from pediatric application of robots, recent innovations in wearable robotic technology, computational neurorehabilitation, physical human-robot interaction and interfaces, and solutions for the needs of persons with disabilities and the aging population. There will be interactive workshops with engineers, clinicians, and end-users to promote collaboration among different disciplines, and a product theater demonstrating the latest in wearable exoskeletons and rehabilitation robots.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Houston, home of the Texas Medical Center and TIRR Memorial Hermann, one of the most renowned rehabilitation facilities in the world.
