Community Wellness Programs

The rehabilitation journey does not end after completion an outpatient rehabilitation program. Strength Unlimited is a community wellness program at TIRR Memorial Hermann where we offer professional trainers, an open gym and classes for those who can benefit from a wellness program after outpatient therapy.

Strength Unlimited

We have designed TIRR Strength Unlimited to provide specialized strength and cardiovascular training to those with physical disabilities due to neurological injury. This program offers clients the ability to improve strength, fitness and flexibility in a fully accessible environment with trained professional staff. Download the brochure.

Strength Unlimited Gym

Special Programs

TIRR Memorial Hermann has designed a special community wellness program just for cancer survivors. Learn more about the Cancer Wellness Program.

The TIRR Memorial Hermann Strength Unlimited Program offers modified constraint induced movement therapy (mCIMT) program for individuals with upper extremity weakness. This is an evidence-based program in an enriched environment to enhance the use of the affected upper extremity. Learn more about the mCIMT program.

Dysautonomia Exercise Program

TIRR Memorial Hermann offers a community-based dysautonomia exercise program including both circuit training and aquatic therapy sessions. This exercise program provides the skills needed to transition successfully to community settings and back to the life you love.

Once you have received permission from your physician to participate in an exercise program, have your physician fill out the prescription form specifically for Strength Unlimited and fax to (713) 797-5988. Your first scheduled appointment will include an orientation to the program, staff and facility.
