Lee Silverman Voice Treatment

In addition, TIRR Memorial Hermann is one of the few organizations that have clinicians trained in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT-LOUD) an innovative and effective technique for improving voice volume by retraining patients on the level of effort needed to produce sound and LSVT-BIG, an intensive whole body amplitude-based training protocol for people with Parkinson’s Disease.

Collaborative, Integrated Care

An interdisciplinary team of experts will be working closely with the patients and their families and caregivers to foster improved quality of life and maximize positive patient  outcomes. This program promotes close collaboration with all members of the team and work closely with physicians to ensure patients receive the most appropriate management of their illness.

TIRR Memorial Hermann offers the continuum of care, including, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, community reintegration program and a community-based physical activity and recovery program. We provide care at every phase of the patient’s illness. Our interventions are based on each person's individualized needs, focusing on improvement in functional activities that will maximize the patient's quality of life.

TIRR Memorial Hermann Inpatient Rehabilitation

For inpatient referrals to TIRR Memorial Hermann, call the Admissions department at (713) 797-5942 or toll free at 1 (800) 44-REHAB (73422). Referrals may be made by patients, family members, physicians, social workers, case managers or discharge planners.

Our admissions team works closely with referring hospitals during the initial stages of illness to ensure a timely admission. Nurse liaisons, admissions nurses and admissions coordinators assist in the referral and admission process. Faxed referrals are also accepted at (713) 797-5988
