Description

The focus of this course is to present best practices and practical insights from which physical and occupational therapists can develop a clinical framework to effectively manage persons with spinal cord injury or disease (SCI/D). Spinal cord medicine is a subspecialty for clinicians who practice in neurological and rehabilitation settings. We recognize that this subspecialty optimally requires intentional training and education provided by clinicians who have dedicated themselves to the care of persons with SCI/D. Our goal is to provide you with a core foundation from which to practice and also present education regarding emerging research and advanced technologies. This course format will include lecture-based presentations and video case presentations.
